International Program

Oxley offers up to 80 places to international students from Year 1 to Year 12. Our well established program offers students the opportunity to integrate culturally and academically in Australian educational life.

Program Overview

The International Program at Oxley was introduced in 1988. International students broaden their knowledge of language, culture, and academics. We have created a rigorous program that has achieved a 100% pass rate in the VCE. We deeply understand our students' backgrounds and have incorporated an integrated approach. To support international students with their English language ability, we offer an Integrated English program. The length of the program is determined by the individual needs of the student and will often be 10 to 20 weeks in duration, prior to entry into the mainstream class setting. Integrated English provides a strong foundation for students’ successful studies and cultural adjustment.

Studying at Oxley can open up opportunities both in Australia and abroad. We are honoured to be a member of the Melbourne Schools Partnership International with the University of Melbourne. The partnership offered to a limited number of select schools, provides high-achieving international students exclusive opportunities to maximize their academic potential. Through tailored activities, students experience university life. They have opportunities to network and receive higher education guidance from university representatives.

The Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) is the official secondary school qualification from Victoria, Australia.

Recognised globally, the VCE opens doors to universities and colleges worldwide, ensuring that students are well-prepared for higher education no matter where they choose to study. With comprehensive subject curriculum that fosters critical thinking and academic excellence, the VCE equips students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a global academic environment.

On-site University and Careers Guidance

While many pursue their undergraduate degrees in Australia, others take their Oxley education to international universities. Most of our international students enrol and excel in degrees such as Medicine, Engineering, Science, Information Technology, Business, Accounting, and the Arts.

Our committed Careers team guide students in choosing subjects that meet course entry requirements. Oxley's Careers Centre provides more than just counselling. It has extensive resources to support students in choosing their education, careers, and courses. Additionally, the Careers team helps with both domestic and international university applications.

Students feel at home because of friendly locals and comprehensive support from college staff. We welcome each student at the airport and facilitate homestay arrangements.
