Starting school is a big step for every child, so students begin their transition program in Term 3 and 4 of the previous year. Our Step into Prep program eases the shift from kindergarten to a primary school. It introduces students to their new environment, classrooms, and teachers. Moreover, it helps children make friends with future classmates. They also meet their specialist teachers through fun games, engaging crafts, and other activities.

At Oxley Christian College, we focus on students' holistic growth. Our Prep Program covers:
- Literacy: We teach phonics in a way that's engaging and fun. We have tailored our reading, writing, and speaking programs to help each student thrive. We focus on providing students with all they need to succeed.
- Numeracy: Students learn about numbers, measurement, and statistics. They use hands-on materials to help them better understand concepts.

For Parents
Prep Information Evening
Our Prep Information Evening, for currently enrolled students, is an essential event for parents. We aim to help parents support their child's move to a primary school setting. It also provides an opportunity to meet teachers, connect with other families, and build relationships. Parents can ask questions and seek support or clarification on any concerns.
